Privacy Policy
Effective & Last Updated: August 18, 2026
StatsCalm is engineered with a strict 100% on-device architecture. The app has zero advertising, zero tracking SDKs, zero background analytics, and DamilanTech does not operate an external telemetry database.
1. Overview & Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the StatsCalm macOS application developed by DamilanTech (“we”, “us”, or “our”) and its related web pages hosted at damilantech.com. DamilanTech respects your privacy and is dedicated to protecting user data through local-first system design.
2. On-Device Telemetry & Hardware Inspection
StatsCalm inspects hardware metrics in real time via standard macOS Apple platforms APIs (including IOKit, CoreWLAN, SystemConfiguration, and DiskArbitration):
- CPU & GPU Metrics: Total utilization percentage, user/system breakdown, per-core distribution, and temperature.
- Memory (RAM): Pressure levels, active/wired/compressed allocations, and swap usage.
- Battery & Power Ribbon: Bus voltage, charging/discharging amperage, charger wattage, cycle count, and calculated system power draw.
- External SSD S.M.A.R.T.: Health score, wear level percentage, spare capacity, media errors, and Thunderbolt link speeds.
- Network & Wi-Fi: Real-time throughput rates, SSID, BSSID, RSSI signal strength (dBm), noise floor, SNR, and IP configuration.
Crucial Notice: All of this information is computed purely in volatile memory (RAM) on your Mac to render the user interface. It is never stored externally, never uploaded to the cloud, and never shared with third parties.
3. Mac App Store & In-App Purchases (StoreKit)
StatsCalm is distributed on the Mac App Store as a Lifetime Purchase (In-App Purchase / One-Time Pay) with no recurring subscriptions. All financial transactions, billing, tax collection, and refunds are processed exclusively by Apple through Apple StoreKit.
DamilanTech does not receive or store your credit card information, physical billing address, or Apple ID credentials. Apple provides developers only with aggregated, anonymized financial and installation reports in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.
4. Permissions & System Access
To provide advanced diagnostics, StatsCalm may request the following standard macOS permissions:
- Full Disk Access: Allows reading low-level S.M.A.R.T. register pages from external NVMe/SATA enclosures and process disk activity. StatsCalm does not read, index, or inspect the contents of your personal files or documents.
- User Notifications: Used solely to alert you if an external drive exceeds safety temperature thresholds or to confirm safe drive ejection.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time via System Settings ➔ Privacy & Security.
5. Zero Third-Party Analytics & Tracking
The StatsCalm Mac app contains no advertising frameworks, no telemetry tracking libraries (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel), and no identifiers for advertisers (IDFA). We do not track you across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
6. Support Communications
If you contact us for technical assistance at [email protected], we will receive your email address, message contents, and any diagnostic information you voluntarily provide. We use this information solely to resolve your issue and maintain support records.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Because StatsCalm does not collect or transmit user data to external servers, we maintain no database of your hardware telemetry. Local app settings (such as temperature unit preferences or language selection) are stored in standard macOS user defaults on your machine and are completely deleted when the app is uninstalled.
8. Children’s Privacy
StatsCalm is a general utility app for macOS and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
9. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA / CalOPPA)
Under international and regional privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have rights regarding access, deletion, and control over personal information. Since StatsCalm operates locally and does not collect personal profiles, your data remains in your custody at all times on your Mac.
10. Changes & Contact Information
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect future software improvements or legal updates. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
